The Ancient Castle, Dunvegan,
is the longest, (continuously)owner-occupied castle, in Scotland.
First owned by Leod through marriage, (founder of the clan), it has always been owned by Clan MacLeods since that early day.
It remains the home of Chief John MacLeod of MacLeod.
